This module is about understanding
how spiritual well-being manifests itself in the physical,
emotional and mental well-being of your patients and
yourself. Our Powerful Practices logo is based on this
thought.
By this step of the 'practice
journey' you will have achieved a level of practice
success that you may have doubted you could ever reach.
But guess what!! There'll still be challenges! Lots
of them!
Remember the ancient
Chinese Proverb …
"Before
enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.
After
enlightenment, chop wood, carry water."
The
challenge of change:
Changes however sometimes
give rise to fears and apprehensions - Will I Survive?
Will I have the courage to abide by my decisions? How
will I cope with Change?
Even successful practices
can be eaten away by a 'been there, done that' attitude
that resists change.
This module encourages
us to use our right-brain, intuitive, creative mind
to find the pathways we need to follow. Dr Judy Hinwood
found many of these observations and thought jottings
useful at different times in her life- when facing a
major life crisis; and when life was normal. Many others
have found these thoughts and paths useful too.
As such, be ready to abandon
your 'analytical' mode of thinking, then relax and contemplate!
It's different... and it's powerful!
